His latest blank developments are the Series 9 fiberglass blanks that are nine foot in length and offered in 5/6 weight and 7/8 weight. These 4-piece blanks are available in brown or white and include a rod bag. A 30″ tube can be purchased separately if needed.

honest, long before I acquired Steffen Brothers Fly Rods and some of the other
equipment I now have, I’ve always been on the hunt for whatever was “new” in fiberglass. I
was the first to bring Ijuin Rods into the United States, I started working with
CTS Fishing in ’06, having blanks made (back then they still had a graphite
scrim) and having them create spigot ferrule blanks for me.
Fast forward a million years and glass has come so
far. It’s lighter. It’s faster. It takes less material. The timing seems right to now make
some long glass rods. Oh, and don’t forget, I have several text messages from Mr. T.F.M. that read “LONG GLASS RODS”.
I am really proud of how these turned out and think it’s just something different. These two blanks are something unique and I know that some folks
will like to have one or two to build, fish, and wave around. You know me, I like making
different options and keeping things fresh. I am even thinking of going longer…”
