This notice from the National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland’s Predator Team:
As the representative body for international freshwater angling on the island of Ireland, the NCFFI has been presenting lure fishing teams on the world stage since 2012 and has welcomed membership from predator clubs offering everyone the opportunity to take part. Former Team Manager, Tomi Kurman, signed off a successful 10 years at the helm as Team Ireland were bronze medalists in the World Predator Boat Angling Championships in 2024. Following this, the team now ranks 10th in the world.
It is our aim for Team Ireland to stay in the top ten nations and we hope to achieve this by presenting Ireland’s best lure anglers at world events with the appropriate management support in place. With this in mind, we are reviewing the current team selection rules and assessing the opportunities to introduce Irish teams in alternative disciplines.
The NCFFI therefore invites you to express your interest for a place on Team Ireland along with the opportunity to provide your feedback in relation to international predator angling.
