How to tie the Larva Lace Bloodworm with Steve Cullen

The bloodworm has long been a go-to pattern for early-season trout, but Steve brings a fresh twist to this classic. His Larva Lace Bloodworm is not only simple and quick to tie, but it also has an irresistibly buggy look that fish can’t seem to ignore.

Requiring very little material and being super simple to create, this bloodworm pattern is sure to be one of your new favourite flies for the early season. Creating that bloodworm breather look in the tail is a bit tricky, but with enough practice and a keen eye, you’ll have plenty of these ready in your fly box.
