Today we are checking out the One Booby to Rule them all, a Tequila Booby tied by Steve Cullen. Steve’s pattern is based on the Tequila blob. He reckons this is THE most effective fly you’ll fish for reservoir Rainbow Trout. Steve ties these on a short shank special or similar rather a really heavy gauge hook that you’ll see from some angler. Blob style flies need a tight wrapped fritz with consistent “hackling” check out Steve’s handy tip to help the fibres behave and get 7 turns of each colour onto this pattern.
