Mick Flanagan of Midlandangling.com had a great few hours on the Inny this week. Mick had planned to take his boat down the river for a bit of reconnaissance, but low water meant that he had to do his recce from the riverbank. On went the walking boots and off went Mick with rod in hand for what he described as a cracking few hours of river piking.
From his selection of paddle tails, it didn’t seem to matter what lure he tied on, with fish throwing themselves at the lures, sometimes hooking, sometimes not – even Nemo got a swim and landed a fish or two. None of the fish were monstrous, but who needs a monster when you can have such fun on the jacks.
