Cody Costello smashed his personal best twice in one day during a recent pike fishing session in Co. Cavan with Chris Barry of Go Fishing Ireland.
Pike activity was quiet at the start of the day, with smaller fish notable by their absence.
Then things changed. His first fish of the day was a 116cm beauty, a new PB by some distance. But the best was yet to come. Later that afternoon Cody was trying out a new rod and went one better with another stunning fish. This time measuring 122cms. First fish on the new rod!
Both of the fish were taken on lures. Congratulations Cody – an exceptional catch by any standards and a day to remember.
